The PODS Method (brought to you by: Freedom Collective Foundation Agency) was developed in 2020 and has been in practice by individuals across the world. It is a framework designed to guide professionals back to truth-centered decision making. Rather than accepting simplified global models, the PODS Method encourages actuaries to actively question the science, challenge assumptions, and evolve their practice using better tools.
The method highlights various sectors of our lives that Agenda 2030 impacts, from the result of climate sustainability.
We dedicate the Money & Currency PODS to the actuarial industry that manage climate and sustainability risks. We want to encourage actuaries to model climate risk with the same rigor we apply to every other risk — using precise, location-specific data instead of relying on a single global variable from a 1992 spreadsheet model like DICE.
PODS promotes dedication to accuracy, service to ethical standards, and a commitment to continuous improvement in how we model real-world risks.
